Totem Rug Design

In 2013 Robyn Waffle joined forces with Yvan Semenowycz to launch a vibrant new textile company titled Totem Design Co. They each had experience designing rugs for other companies and bonded over their shared vision of creating vibrant, playful rug and tapestry collections. The pair launched their company with a colourful collection, inspired by Super Heroes, at Fan Expo in Toronto. They co-managed Totem Design Co. for four years, full time, until they were approached by a luxury European company called Jan Kath Design. In 2017, Jan Kath hired the Robyn and Yvan to launch their rug company in Toronto. The talented design-duo (who have since tied-the-knot) have designed countless custom area rugs for corporate and private clients over the years. One of their most notable clients is SLASH from Guns & Roses.

 
 

Totem Rugs

Totem Rug Design was established In 2013 by Robyn Waffle and her partner Yvan Semenowycz. Since 2013, Robyn and Yvan have exhibited their bespoke rug collections at Fan Expo, The Interior Design Show (x2), The Toronto Offsite Festival (x2), CUTMR by Gladstone Hotel and KLAUS in Toronto. They collaborate with many artists and designers to create unique handmade area rugs, and some of their most notable collaborations include Jan Kath Design, Toronto Carpet Factory and SLASH from Guns & Roses.
